Today was my last day of class and it felt sooooo good! I am finally done with my undergrad education and I am sooo ready to move forward with life. I still have to complete 2 finals next week (one on Monday and one on Tuesday) but all of my classes are over with! This weekend is jam packed with college-ending activities too. Saturday is my graduation party (I hope I get lots of nice gifts & money :)) & Sunday is my Black Graduation Ceremony. Next week Sunday is my actual graduation ceremony. I am sooo excited and ready to go out into the workforce and continue working on my career while helping others in the community. I applied to about 25 jobs within the past 2 days, but I haven’t heard back from anyone yet. Hopefully someone responds by next week. Ahh, I can’t say anything but that I am sooo excited and sooo happy that I have reached this goal!

Saturday night was Kappa Sutra (a frat party) and I have had the perfect dress for about a month now, but finding shoes was impossible. I went to like 4 different malls and nothing!!!! Finally, however, my friend told me to try DSW. I always thought this store was for “old people” and I really didn’t think I would find anything cute but boy was I wrong. They have THE CUTEST shoes in there! I even got a membership because I have a feeling I will be spending a lot of money in there. & once you get in the shopping mood everything else looks sooo much cuter so I bought 2 other pairs of shoes from other stores. (Hopefully I will get a new digital camera for my graduation present so that I can take pictures for you!)
Kappa Sutra ended up being a ton of fun too! It was the last official party of my college career so me and my girls definitely lived up to the situation. There were a ton of memories created that night & this picture shows one of them 
(He’s actually my friend and was just trying to tell me something. LOL.)

There are only 2 weeks left in the quarter and I am sooo excited! I am thinking about enrolling in some classes at a local JC so that I can apply to med school. This was an idea that I abandoned after drowning in the first year series of chemistry at my school. Although it was a lot of work I still got really good grades and I have always been interested in medicine so I think I will be give more though to this idea.
With my final quarter coming to an end, it is really time for my to think about what direction I want my life to take.

Tomorrow is the last day of class for Winter Quarter. After that, all that’s left of my undergraduate career is Spring quarter. I am extremely excited to finally be done with school (although I plan on continuing my education to at least get my Master’s in Psychology), but with the current state of the economy I am also scared. What if I can’t find a job that pays well enough for me to adequately support myself? What if I do find a job and then get laid off like millions of other Americans? The future is scary but I have applied to 6 different jobs within the last 2 days and I am hoping that at least SOMEONE responds to me. Someone has to right??? I don’t think that you can ever apply to too many jobs though, so where are you guys looking for jobs? (My interest is in psychology and social work)

In an email from a professor at my college I was notified of a disturbing cartoon published in the NY Post. I am not sure how many of you were already aware of this but I would have had no idea this ever happened had I not been informed by my teacher. The cartoon was published the day after Obama signed the stimulus bill into action and depicts a monkey being shot dead by police with the words “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.” I will allow you guys to form your own opinions on this this but please share! Positive or Negative, I am always open to interpretation.

I honestly don’t know where to start with this post. I am just going to post the video and comment on it.
This man is absolutely disgusting. It sickens me to know that anyone in this world could have a heart as cruel, black and cold as his. First, he is PURPOSELY having sex with young women (one woman he named was only 13 years old) and attempting to affect him with HIV/AIDS. Where is your heart? Where is your love for the black community? He says that these girls come from “ghetto” areas and that they are “fast” and all kinds of bullshit. This is where a strong man would step in and educate the youth, this is where a real man would enlighten his community. He is bragging about the Jaguar he drives, spend some of that damn money on some condoms, after school programs or anything else that would help the community.
Second, he has the nerve to blame the disease on the women. Obviously, he made the decision not to use a condom on his own so its own fault that he has been infected, not the women he is trying to fault. Most of these women don’t even know they have been infected because he is not man enough to inform them respectfully even after the fact. Like honestly, I can’t even formulate my thoughts at this point. This man is absolutely mind blowing. What woman would think to check Youtube or Chronic Central or information about their AIDS status?? Absolutely disgusting.
I can’t even talk about this anymore but I think that all women need to see this. It sickens me to say it, but obviously men like this are out there in this world and you do not have to be exposed to men this cruel to even catch the virus. AIDS spreads so quickly, please use your minds when having sex (if you even have it at all).

1.I have a twin sister but we look NOTHING alike.
2.Children are not in my future plans. At all.
3.I really don’t care to get married. With the way things are looking, I’d soon be divorced anyway.
4.Religion confuses the hell out of me.
5.I get irritated when people tell me Belizeans aren’t black. Excuse me, but are YOU Belizean?? Didn’t think so.
6.I am a graphic design artist & I have to say I am good but learning everyday.
7.I am graduating college early.
8.I only talk to 2 people just about everyday – Eileen and Erica.
9.I want to be a child psychologist but I hate people. Maybe I can help them early though….
10.Niptuck, Desperate Housewives & Grey’s Anatomy are my addictions and they make me weak.
11.I basically have 3 jobs.
12.I hate when guys lie to you and act like you don’t know they are lying…
13.The rumors are true…I really am crazy. lmao. Oh well. Stay on my good side.
14.I think my favorite two people in the whole world are my dad and Brandon.
15.I listen to a VERY wide range of music – Kid Cudi, Lykke Li, Lil Wayne, Spice Girls, Coldplay
16.I HATE getting up early. Especially when it is cold.
17.I have grown more in the past 1.5 years than I have my whole life.
18.My favorite color is pink and I wear something that color just about everyday. (If you didn’t know this already maybe you aren’t really my friend…)
19.It’s really hard for me to open up to people. Especially boys because they have a tendency to lie.
20.I am EXTREMELY weird/awkward. Talk to me for 15 minutes and you will have all the evidence you need.
21.No one knows everything about me.
22.Rumors are fine by me. It’s interesting to see how creative people can get when they have nothing better to do.
23.I have a pet turtled named Athena after the Goddess of War & Wisdom because I was really into mythology when I was a kid.
24.Even though I don’t act like a typical “LA girl” I was born and raised on Hoover and Slauson.
25.I think smoking is very bad.

*disclaimer I am really confused right now and I have a lot going on. At best, this post is incomprehensive rambling.
everything was going so great but I am sooo confused because now everything is going wrong.
A very close friend of mine just told me that we can no longer associate basically because I am really not sure what my religious beliefs are. I just don’t know. I don’t believe I have experienced enough to choose any one religion over another. This “friend” of mine feels like every time we talk these “horrendous” things happen to him and some how its my fault because those who do not commit themselves to god automatically worship the devil and therefore I am bringing negative energy into his life. Of course he didn’t put it quite that way, but that was the message he was basically delivering.
This past year and a half I have worked sooo hard to strengthen myself as a person, as a woman. I came so far and grew so much. Now, I feel myself moving backwards emotionally.
My “friend” is making me think that this is happening because I don’t believe in god but I just can’t bring myself to pretend to believe in something I am really not sure about.
I am so confused. Where is my strength going?
